IE5+ Motor Performance. No Rare Earths.
We replaced neodymium with ferrite through advanced electromagnetic design — same IE5+ efficiency, no supply chain risk.
How Can We Help You?
For Electric Motor Producers

License a proven IE5+ ferrite motor design instead of building from scratch. Skip years of R&D — the electromagnetic design is done.
For Electric Motor Buyers

We connect you to partner producers manufacturing motors built on EKMO's IE5+ ferrite design — no rare earths, no supply chain exposure.
Do EKMO motors perform as well as motors with neodymium magnets?
Yes. EKMO motors deliver high efficiency and strong torque through advanced electromagnetic design — without relying on rare-earth magnets.
If they don't use rare-earth magnets, what's the trade-off?
There is no hidden downside. EKMO replaces material dependency with smart design, reducing supply-chain risk while maintaining industrial performance.
Why choose a motor without rare-earth magnets for future systems?
Rare-earth-free motors avoid cost volatility and supply risk, offering a more stable and future-proof solution for long-term applications.

About the operation and its goals
EKMO is developing an electric motors for powers above 37kW.
The goal of the operation is to significantly reduce CO2 emissions made by the electric motors by increasing the adoption of electric motors with higher efficiency on the expense lower efficiency mainstream electric motors.
We will do this by developing a SMPM electric motor which achieves IE5 efficiency standards without the use of any rare earth metals with the pricing that can compete with IE3 mainstream electric motor and scaling the production to increase the market share of high efficiency (IE5+) electric motors.
